Whistler, Canada –North America’s top resortWhistler is a fantastic place to take a ski holiday in North America Located in the spectacular coast mountains of British Columbia, the ski resort which is just 75 miles north of Vancouver covers over 8000 acres of mountain terrain - including a dozen alpine bowls, three glaciers and more than 200 marked trails which are served by 33 lifts, meaning you only ever have to take one or two lifts to get to most parts of the resort. Whistler is a premier, year-round destination, and is the perfect place for a ski holiday in Canada. The 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games were held here, firmly establishing Whistler’s place on the world stage. Skiing inside Zermatt is split into four areas: Sunnegga, Gornergrat, Klien Matterhorn and Schwarzsee. Zermatt is surrounded by a range of fabulous mountains, among which is the highest in Switzerland, the Monte Rosa, but it is famous for the Matterhorn. The high altitude results in consistent skiing conditions continuously throughout the summer. Zermatt is a car-free village and transport is in the form of either electric-cars - which are almost completely silent, or horse-drawn sleighs and carriages. This makes it easy to find yourself in utter tranquillity. Take a ski holiday in Zermatt and you`ll have access to 350km of pistes, linking to Breuil Cervina and Valtoumenche in Italy. Jackson Hole, USA – Top resort for traditionJackson Hole is surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery. It is a great place to take a ski holiday in USA. It offers a unique experience on and off the slopes and is a real, old fashioned, Western town complete with raised wooden boardwalks and authentic cowboy saloons. Skiing in Jackson Holes provides you with amazing snow conditions make it a great resort for experts as it offers steep runs, deep powder and narrow chutes, it’s not really suited to beginners.
